Help Record the moments you want
Flipping and mirroring the picture
Corrects a camera mounted upside down or reversed. Everything downstream sees the corrected picture.
Some cameras are mounted upside down, and some capture devices hand over a mirrored picture. These two switches put it right.
The correction is applied everywhere at once — to the picture on screen, to the copy motion detection works on, and to what gets recorded. So a region you draw covers the part of the scene it looks like it covers, and a clip is saved the way up you see it, including after the file is copied elsewhere or re-encoded.
Because detection sees the corrected picture too, changing either switch moves any regions you have already drawn relative to the scene. Worth a look at the region editor afterwards if you change the mounting of a camera that already had them.
