Help Choose when it watches

The delay before monitoring starts

A grace period so you aren't the subject of every first clip.

Start Monitoring can wait a set number of seconds before OdinCam actually starts watching. It is the exit delay from a house alarm, and it exists for the same reason: without it, the first thing recorded every session is you walking away from the camera.

While the countdown runs, the status pill shows how long is left, so you can tell at a glance whether it is safe to leave. Nothing is detected and nothing is recorded until it reaches zero.

Set it in the main window's second step, alongside clip length and cooldown. Zero switches it off, and monitoring begins the instant you flip the switch.

The delay applies only when you turn recording on. A scheduled window opening at its appointed time starts monitoring immediately — you were not standing in front of the camera for that.
