Why the camera light is on

While OdinCam is capturing, the green camera light is on, and if audio is enabled an orange microphone dot appears in Control Center.

These are enforced by the hardware and the operating system. No application can suppress them, and you should be suspicious of any that claims to.

Capture stops — and the lights go out — when you close the window or use "Turn camera off".
